These Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to all sales of products made on mellean.com between MELLE AN and any consumer (the “Customer”). Placing an order implies acceptance of the Terms in force on the date of the order.
Our products are handmade artisanal pieces from Morocco (Berber rugs, lighting, baskets, home decor). Each piece is unique: slight variations in color, size or pattern compared to the photographs are inherent to handcraft and are not a defect. Products are offered while stocks last.
Prices are in euros, all taxes included (VAT not applicable, art. 293 B of the French General Tax Code), excluding shipping. Shipping costs are shown before the order is confirmed. The applicable price is the one displayed at the time of the order.
The Customer selects the products, checks the order summary (products, prices, shipping costs), then confirms and pays. The sale is concluded upon receipt of payment. An order confirmation is sent by email. MELLE AN may cancel any order in case of an existing dispute with the Customer, suspected fraud or payment issue.
Payment is made securely online by credit card (via Stripe), Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. MELLE AN never has access to the Customer’s bank details.
Orders are shipped within 3 business days from the South of France. MELLE AN delivers to France, the European Union and Switzerland. Rates and shipping methods (Mondial Relay pickup point, Colissimo home delivery) are detailed in the “Shipping & Delivery” tab of each product page and shown before payment. Delivery times are estimates.
For deliveries to Switzerland, customs duties and local taxes may be charged to the recipient on delivery and remain at their expense.
If delivery is more than 30 days late, the Customer may terminate the contract under articles L.216-6 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. The Customer is asked to check the parcel on delivery and report any issue (damaged parcel, missing item) by email as soon as possible.
In accordance with articles L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the Customer has 14 days from receipt of the product to withdraw from the contract, without giving any reason.
To do so, the Customer informs MELLE AN of their decision by an unambiguous statement, by email to melle.an.store@gmail.com, or using the withdrawal form below.
The Customer must return the product no later than 14 days after notifying their decision. Return shipping costs are paid by the Customer. The product must be returned in good condition and carefully packed; the Customer may be liable for any loss in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.
MELLE AN refunds all sums paid, including the initial shipping costs (based on the cheapest standard shipping method offered), no later than 14 days after being informed of the withdrawal. The refund may be withheld until the returned product has been received. It is made using the same payment method as for the order.
All products benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L.217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code). The consumer has two years from delivery to claim under the legal guarantee of conformity and is entitled to repair or replacement within thirty days of the request, free of charge; failing that, to a price reduction or a full refund against return of the product. The guarantee against hidden defects applies for two years from the discovery of the defect. Claims should be sent by email to melle.an.store@gmail.com.
MELLE AN cannot be held liable for non-performance due to force majeure, or for damage resulting from misuse of the product by the Customer.

Texts, photographs, logos and graphics on the website are the property of MELLE AN. Any reproduction without permission is prohibited.
For any complaint, please contact MELLE AN first by email at melle.an.store@gmail.com; we are committed to finding an amicable solution. In accordance with articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, if a dispute remains unresolved, the Customer may use a consumer mediator free of charge. The mediator’s contact details are available on request by email.
These Terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable solution, any dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the competent courts under ordinary rules.
